Brian is the Managing Partner at the firm. He is a seasoned advocate with an attractive working experience. He previously worked in the banking sector with National Bank of Commerce as a legal officer/Board Secretary before joining private legal practice.


He later worked with Katarikawe & Company Advocates, a firm that has been in place for the last thirty years, heading it’s litigation department before joining Lawgic Advocates.


At Lawgic Advocates, he is the head of the oil and gas, mining and energy department.

He is currently pursuing his masters degree in Oil and Gas at the Institute of Petroleum Studies.

He is also involved in litigation and high-value transactional matters.

He has vast experience and has advised on a considerable number of cases related to banking, insurance, land, oil and gas (in particular, the environmental matters in oil and gas, together with health and safety), mining and energy.

Brian's experience includes:

The liquidation of Busingye properties, a company worth USD 10 million, where he successfully represented the creditors by putting in place an acceptable deed of arrangement.

  • Participated in the process of liquidating Uchumi Limited where he was successfully obtained full payment for all its creditors.
  • Handled a contentious issue regarding a mining lease on behalf of Krone Ltd, a UK based company, involving a mine worth USD 20 million.
  • Represented and advised a UK based firm on the regulatory requirements for entering into an oil investment Joint Venture Agreement with Bunyoro Kingdom and Uganda National Oil Company.
